Entry Fee: Title $18.00; Trophy Dance $8.00; Section Dance $5.00

Choreography Entry Fee: $5.00 per dancer for Solos, Duos, Groups of 3. For all other Groups it is $15.00 per group.

Administration Fee (including competition venue entry): $12.00 per Family

HD Comps fee: $6.00 per Family of 3 or less, additional $2.00 per person for 4 or more dancers

 

DANCING TO COMMENCE AT 8.30AM SHARP

Age groups will be decided upon receipt of entries


 

PREMIER 

BONNIE SCOTLAND CUP: Village Maid (5 steps); Blue Bonnets (5 steps) and Earl of Errol (5 steps)

An extra overall prize will be awarded to the highest placed Premier with Restriction dancer who has not already been placed in the overall result. Premier with Restriction is restricted to Premier dancers who have not been awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall in a registered championship.

Section Dances and Trophy Dance ONLY Will Be Danced As Separate Sections Premier And Premier With Restriction. Premier with Restriction is restricted to Premier dancers who have not previously been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall in a Registered Championship. Dancers entered in Premier with Restriction dances are not eligible to compete in any other classification in the same dance.

TROPHY DANCE: Barracks Johnnie (5 steps)

SECTION DANCES: Scottish Lilt (4 steps), Highland Fling (4 steps) and Highland Laddie (4 steps)

The Rob Roy MacGregor Shield will be awarded jointly by adjudicators, to a dancer competing in Premier dances who clearly demonstrates the “Spirit of the Dance” as an encouragement to further the “Spirit” of Highland Dancing.

The Ron Scott Dancer of the Day, a perpetual trophy, will be awarded jointly by the adjudicators, to a Premier dancer for their outstanding performance over all dances and all age levels.

 

INTERMEDIATE

MACGREGOR INTERMEDIATE TITLE: Irish Jig (3&1); Sailors’ Hornpipe (4 steps) and Seann Triubhas (3&1)

TROPHY DANCE: Barracks Johnnie (5 steps)

SECTION DANCES: Strathspey & 1⁄2 Reel of Tulloch (2&4), Highland Fling (4 steps) and Highland Laddie (4 steps)

“The Bill And Nessie Sharpe Memorial Shield For Intermediate Encouragement Award”

The Narelle Britten Memorial Shield will be awarded, jointly by the adjudicators, to an Intermediate dancer, who most clearly demonstrates the “Spirit of the Dance” as an encouragement to further the “Spirit” of Highland Dancing.

CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Solo Reel – Age groups decided upon receipt of entries

Music – 32 bars of reel music will be provided by the organiser; content should consist primarily of movements from Highland, National, Jig and Hornpipe books; suitable simple Scottish-themed outfit to be worn

Duo – Age groups decided upon receipt of entries

Groups – Age groups 12yrs & under and 13yrs & over

A) 3 dancers

B) 4 or more dancers open to 4 or more registered dancers to a maximum of 20 registered dancers
