THE QUEENSLAND HIGHLAND DANCING CHAMPIONSHIPS 

& SUPPORTING EVENTS

 

  • Age Groups for all events (other than stipulated) will be decided after receipt of entries.

  • No Ballots. First entries received will be the last to dance.

  • Championship photographs will be taken after the presentation.

  • Order of Events listed on a separate page. 

  • Refer to Rule 19 for the Premier Trophy Events.

  • Refer to Rule 20 for all Restricted Events.

     

PREMIER EVENTS 


(A) THE QUEENSLAND HIGHLAND DANCING CHAMPIONSHIPS (Open to all Premier Dancers)

*Age groupings may be split further if sufficient entries are received.

  • 7 - 9 years

  • 10 & 11 years

  • 12 & 13 years

  • 14 & 15 years

  • 16, 17 & 18 years

  • 19 years & over

 

(B) TROPHY DANCE
Barracks Johnnie, 5 steps, *(See Rule 19)

Rule 19: Premier Trophy Dance: This event is open to Premier Dancers who have been successful in gaining 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any registered Championship since 11th April 2017. Eligible dancers may also enter the Queensland Highland Dancing Championships.

Rule 20: Premier (with Restriction) Trophy Dance & Section Dances: These events are open to Premier Dancers who have not been successful in gaining 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a registered Championship since 11th April 2017. Dancers entering these events may also compete in the Queensland Highland Dancing Championships.

  • A running sheet will be emailed to all dancers in March 2020 outlining any updated commencement times.
