to be held on Friday, 26 June 2026 at Newington College, Stanmore, for eligible NDAAI dancers.

Papalia Encouragement Awards:
There are six prizes for Premier with Restriction Dancers who enter and compete in the 2026 Grand Australian Championships.
The winner of each cash prize award will be drawn on the day, one from each of the six Championship age groups. Six (6) Prizes of $100 to be drawn.

PRIZES AND AWARDS:

Grand Australasian Championship: Individual dance winners receive special Grand Australasian Championship medals. Overall winners receive perpetual trophies, sashes and cash. Other special awards will also be presented.

Teacher's Award for the Teacher of the winner of each championship.

Grand Australasian Premier Cup & Grand Australasian Premier with Restriction Title - Perpetual trophy for winner, medals for individual dances and cash prizes for overall placings.

Strathmore Perpetual Trophy - Highest points in Senior Premier Hornpipe

Heather Jolly Award: Spirit of Highland Dancing – A Premier dancer selected by an Adjudicator.

NDAAI Examination Award: NDAAI Dancers who are competing at this Festival and who have done any NDAAI exam in 2025 will go into a draw for a cash prize of $100.

Primary, Beginners, Novice and Intermediate - Section dances – medals.
Titles: medals for individual dances; overall trophies plus sashes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

NDAAI 75th Anniversary Cocktail Party

The National Dancing Association of Australasia Inc. (NDAAI) is proud to mark its 75th year since its establishment in 1951. To commemorate this significant milestone, NDAAI will host a special cocktail party at Newington College.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, 27th June 2026

Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Location: Upstairs area above the Basketball stadium, Newington College

This celebration will follow the conclusion of the Grand Australasian and supporting events held earlier in the day. The cocktail party presents an opportunity for members, dancers, and supporters to come together and honour the formation and ongoing legacy of NDAAI.

Further information about the event will be provided in due course. NDAAI encourages all to join in the festivities and help celebrate 75 years of dedication to highland dancing.
